SMU coach June Jones has suspended receivers Emmanuel Sanders and Aldrick Robinson and linebacker Justin Smart for the remainder of the seasons for their repeated violations of Jones’ “three strikes” rule under which players pick upune Jones ha strikes for missing of being late to practice, team meetings and study halls, among other violations.

Two West Virgina football players, tight end Maxwell Anderson and special teams holder Jeremy Kash have been charged with battery stemming from an October fight in a Morgantown bar. According Morgantown’s Dominion Post, WVU coach Bill Stewart has not made a decision on disciplining the players.

Texas offensive lineman Buck Burnette has been dismissed from the Texas Longhorns’ team after posting a Facebook status update following Barack Obama’s presidential win that read “all the hunters gather up, we have a #$%&er in the whitehouse,” which is apparently a violation of team rules.

Ohio State wide receiver and punt returner Ray Small has been suspended for at least one game after “repeated violations of team rules.” Small’s father, Ken Small, responded to news of his son’s latest suspension by lashing out at the Ohio State coaching staff and accusing them of “intentionally trying to blow [his son's] career.”

Tennessee cornerback Brent Vinson was issued five citations after being pulled over for speeding on October 29 including citations for marijuana possession, violation of the state’s open container law, driving without a license or insurance and speeding. The five citations have added up to a one-game suspension for the 21-year-old sophomore.
