According to the Harrison Police Department, Former New York Knicks coach Isiah Thomas was taken to the hospital and treated for an accidental overdose of prescription sleeping pills early Friday morning.

Thomas later told the New York Post that it was his 17-year-old daughter Lauren, not Isiah, who needed medical treatment saying, “My daughter is very down right now.  None of us are OK.”

Harrison Police Chief David Hall refuted Thomas’ claims on Friday night, however, insisting that it was Thomas, and not his daughter, who was taken to the hospital.

“I understand that this person claims it was his daughter, he is lying,” Hall told the New York times.  “It was definitely not his daughter, it was a male.  We know the difference between a 47-year-old black male and a young black female.”
