East Carolina had already announced that running back Jonathan Williams was indefinitely suspended until his October 5 arrest for resisting a public officer was resolved when news of two new charges reached the team.  Williams was charged with two counts of assault with a deadly weapon on Wednesday after a 20-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman told police at the Pitt County Memorial Hospital that Williams hit them with a beer bottle while they were trying to reenter a party at a campus apartment on Sunday.  Williams, a sophomore, was charged with driving while impaired and underage consumption of alcohol earlier this year.
