An NCAA investigation found no new allegations of academic cheating by Florida State student-athletes, but may consider additional penalties against the school, including the forfeiture of past games.
The NCAA initiated its investigation into FSU athletics after the school uncovered the widespread cheating scandal that included cheating on online tests and staffers providing players with answers to exams and typed papers.
Florida State announced a self-penalization in February that included the loss of scholarships in 10 sports and suspensions for 30% of the season for the 61 athletes involved in the scandal which included 18 members of the Seminole football team. The NCAA will hold a hearing October 18 to decide whether Florida State should receive additional penalties.
