Incoming Kansas basketball player Markieff Morris is facing a battery charge after allegedly firing a BB gun from his dorm window.
Campus police responded to shots being fired from the Jayhawker Towers at around at around 11:15 pm on Saturday. The 47-year-old mother of a Kansas swimmer who was in the dorm’s courtyard also reported taking fire and a being hit in the arm with a plastic BB around the same time.
Investigating officers seized a 3-foot-long Airsoft rifle and a plastic bag of BBs from Morris’s dorm room ending Markieff’s reign of BB gun terror and preventing an untold number of welts and broken light bulbs.
Morris is shockingly suspected of using alcohol during the incident, which may help explain how Morris became convinced that shooting people with a BB gun out of a dorm-room window was an awesome idea.
Markieff and his twin-brother Marcus are among the most-prized recruits of Kansas coach Bill Self’s 2008 recruiting class. Both Markieff and Marcus are on campus and taking classes, but are still awaiting academic clearance by the NCAA, which may also help explain how Morris became convinced that shooting people with a BB gun out of a dorm-room window was an awesome idea.

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackYou seriously wrote an article about an 18 year old KID doing something immature? I’ll make sure to alert you next time my 17 year old acts his age so you can write about that too.
How’s your kid’s crossover looking?
We generally don’t cover high school athletics, but if he’s good enough to play division one ball and retarded enough to bring an air rifle to college with him and shoot people out of his dorm room window with it, he’s got Dark Side written all over him.
