The University of Louisville announced on Tuesday that quarterback Matt Simms has been suspended for the first four games of the 2008 season for an unspecified violation of team rules.

Though the school did not provide any details on the nature of Simms’ violation, after seeing this photo of Matt posted on CardChronicle.com, Dark Side is pretty sure it can solve the riddle.

Matt Simms is the son of former New York Giants quarterback and Super Bowl MVP Phil Simms and the younger brother of former Texas Longhorns and current Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Chris Simms.

As you can see, Matt inherited the elder Simms’ great smile and warm personality, both of which he’s more than happy to share with photographers while rolling up about a pound of cheeba.

Dark Side’s going to give you a little advice here young Simms. If you have to twist up a widow maker for you and your buddies, fight the urge to look up and give a big smile while someone takes a picture of you doing it. In the alternative, go ahead and slide that contraband on over next to the chump with the awesome sense of style to your left since everybody is going to assume he must be high for dressing like that anyway. Then you can at least claim it wasn’t yours.

Dark Side was also going to suggest not smoking dope, but given that you were rolling up a spliff big enough to keep the entire state of Kentucky high for a couple of days, we’ll go ahead and assume we’re past that little talk.
