Former NBA player and minor league basketball coach Vincent Askew was arrested in Miami on Wednesday and charged with three counts of sexual battery for allegedly having sex with a 16-year-old girl.
The 43-year-old Askew reportedly approached the girl under the guise of being a local high school basketball coach interested in recruiting her to the school’s team because telling 16-year-old girls your a washed-up NBA player apparently doesn’t lure them into your windowless van the way it used to.
While Askew has never coached at the high school he identified, he was seeking a job there. School officials have not said whether the allegations will affect Askew’s bid for employment there.

It gets worse Sonics. It turns out that the reports of her being 16 were coming from the Chinese government, so she’s probably more like 13 or 14.
