Milwaukee Brewers first baseman Prince Fielder had to be restrained by his teammates in the Brewer dugout on Monday night after attacking another teammate, pitcher Manny Parra. The left-handed Parra, who had given up six runs in six innings, was visibly upset as he headed for the clubhouse after being replaced by pinch-hitter Russell Branyan. Fielder and Parra enjoyed a brief but lively verbal exchange before Fielder decided to emphasize his point with a of hard slap. There was a split second after the first crack where reason almost seemed to be regaining control of Fielder. In the end it was to be testosterone’s day, however, as fielder laid a a second smack on Parra before being restrained by his teammates.
